My favorite piece of this auction is the video from the prior owners, an enthusiast couple (both Physicists!) from Southern CA. The video really sells how origianl this car is and how loved it was by them.

“We bought this car before I-5 opened up. I-5 was posted at 100MPH at that time. So we drove from LA to Seattle in an amazing amount of time: never breaking 130 and never dropping below 100.”

These cars are becoming increasing rare and hard to fine in this condition, which explains the final hammer price of $211,911.
